Sudbury Minor Baseball Association

Founded in 1966, Sudbury Minor Baseball Association is a not-for-profit organization driven by a 15 member volunteer board of directors. The organization strives to provide its players with a fun, active experience through the sport of baseball.

Games are held at the Terry Fox Sports Complex off Lasalle Blvd, with the possibility of occasional games in Valley East. The season generally begins after the May long weekend.

SMBA is a proud supporter of the Pediatric Section of the Northeastern Regional Cancer Treatment Centre.

SMBA continues to follow its mandate to:

  1. Provide all eligible persons with wholesome recreation and sport activity;
  2. Teach the skills of baseball;
  3. Promote physical fitness;
  4. Provide an opportunity for persons to play together in a team effort and learn respect for others;
  5. Promote good fellowship, the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, and respect for authority;
  6. Provide a Community service in the City of Sudbury

To achieve the above objectives, the Association will provide a supervised program of competitive baseball games under the Rules and Regulations set up by the Association and The Ontario Baseball Association.
